| Youth Gaelic Football |
The Wolfetones are gearing up for their 6th season of Youth Gaelic Football. Our Annual Kickoff Meeting for new and exisiting players/parents will be held March 4th at the John Boyle O'Reilly Club from 2:00 to 4:00.
We are now accepting applications for all new players. All children, boys and girls, ages 5-16, are welcome to join. It's a great way to build teamwork and coordination while meeting new friends. You can pick up an application downstairs or contact mconnally@westernmassgaa.com for an email copy. Visit us at www.westernmassgaa.com. | Wolfe Tones Concert | The Wolfe Tones will once again be performing at Waconah Country Club on Thursday March 1st. Dermot Hurley will run a bus trip to the show and it will leave the Sons of Erin at 6 pm. Concert and bus is $35. Seating is limited so reserve your spot early. Call the Club (413-562-5927) to reserve your ticket and seat. |
| 2012 Colleen and her Court | Congratulations to this year's Colleen, Megan Susan Casey and her Court; Ryan Elizabeth Hickson, Meaghan Elizabeth Kwarcinski, Sinead Smith, and Connor Mari Sheehan. They will proudly represent Westfield and the Sons of Erin this year as they ride through Holyoke atop our float. |
| 2012 Parade Marshall | Congratulations to Lisa McMahon, who was named Westfield's 2012 Parade Marshall. Come join Lisa as she leads us through the streets of Holyoke in this year's parade. |
| 2012 Thomas M. Kane Irishman of the Year | Congratulations to Jim Kane Sr. for being named 2012 Irishman of the Year. Jim's strong work ethic and dedication to the Club are unmatched. This is long overdue recognition and is well earned. |
| 2012 Dorothy B. Griffin Irishwoman of the year | Congratulations to Helen Tymeson for being named the 2012 Irishwoman of the Year. Helen has been running the Colleen Committee for years and always puts together a spectacular event for our Colleens. She now joins her husband Ed, last year's IMOY, as deserving recipients of this award. |

| Newsletter | The Club's conversion to an email format for our newsletter is ongoing. This conversion is a substantial savings to the Club in postage, printing and labor, as well as being an eco-friendly alternative. | General Membership Meetings | The Club's General Membership meetings are held on the first Sunday of each month at 1:00 PM. Meetings are usually suspended for the summer months of June, July and August. |
| Women's Auxilary Meetings | The Women's Aux. meetings are now being held on the first Sunday of each month at 2:30 PM |
| Commemorative Bricks | The Building Committee is selling Commemorative Bricks that will be used to pave a "Memorial Walkway" leading to the 911 Memorial at the Club. These bricks can be inscribed in the memory of a departed family member, loved one, or with your own name. The Walkway enhances the beauty of the 911 Memorial dedicated in the memory of Daniel Trant, Tara Creamer and Brian Murphy. Cost is $50.00 per brick. Forms are located at the Club. |
| Commemorative Veteran's Coins | The Club has created a Commemorative Veteran Coin to be issued to the Club's Irish-American Veterans. You are also eligible to receive one on behalf of a deceased family member that was a veteran. The coins can be personalized with an engraving at your own expense. Please contact Dermot Hurley to receive your coin. |
| Club Dues | General Membership - $50.00, Seniors - $25.00. Women's Aux - $25.00, Seniors $12.50. There is a $10.00 late fee for payment after February 1st. An initial one-time fee of $100.00 for new members will be assessed. This fee is waived for new members between the ages of 21-25. |
